Senior Warehouse Operations Lead

Looking to earn income on a short term basis, in a senior operations role?

Our client, a leader in baby equipment and accessories, is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Lead, who will be responsible for overseeing a distribution center/warehouse, transportation, and logistics for their Canadian logistics facility. The Senior Operations Lead will utilize continuous improvement strategies and ensure transportation and distribution policies are aligned with the company's overall business plan and industry best practices.

Successful applicants will be Fork Lift & Cherry Picker licensed

Senior Operations Lead - Distribution Center

Monday to Friday

6 am to 2 pm

$28/hour

Immediate Vacancy

4 Week assignment where you bring your management experience, in addition to ability to be a hands on leader.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Works with senior leaders to help improve customer satisfaction, distribution performance, and customer retention

- Collaborates with internal departments and drive continuous process improvement

- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves a wide range of issues, providing quick and decisive solutions within the context of existing policies and identifying the need for revision or creation of policies

- Assesses warehouse management technologies to drive operation effectiveness and efficiency in the distribution centers

- Directs the overall safety functions of the distribution center

You will bring:

- 7+ years' leadership experience that has resulted in effective decision making and change management

- Well-versed and highly skilled in all key distribution center functions (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory, etc.)

- Must be certified to operate equipment, including a cherry picker

- Turret truck certification/experience is a strong asset
