What You'll Be DoingAs a CNC Mill Setter, you will be responsible for setting up CNC milling machines and ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining strict quality standards.
Responsibilities include:Complete CNC mill setups for production runsVerify tooling, fixtures, offsets, and machine readinessRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CNC programsPerform first-off inspections and in-process quality checksMeasure parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipmentTroubleshoot setup and machining issues to minimize downtimeMaintain tight tolerances and exceptional quality standardsSupport continuous improvement initiativesFollow all safety and manufacturing proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work area
What We're Looking ForMinimum 5 years of CNC Mill Setter experience7+ years preferred within aerospace manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, defense manufacturing, nuclear manufacturing, or other precision machining environmentsStrong blueprint reading and engineering drawing interpretation skillsExperience working with tight-tolerance machined componentsKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Strong understanding of precision measuring equipmentExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityMachinist certification considered an assetHigh School Diploma or GED
