Our client is a leading provider of automotive lift sales and service solutions across the Maritimes, trusted by dealerships and automotive service shops throughout the region. They are currently seeking a Service Technician who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving in the field, and traveling to support customers across Atlantic Canada.If you have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working independently, and are looking for a long-term opportunity with a reputable and well-established organization, this could be an excellent fit for you.ResponsibilitiesAs a Service Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring customers' equipment operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:
  • Installing, inspecting, and servicing automotive lifts and related shop equipment;
  • Performing detailed safety inspections and troubleshooting mechanical issues;
  • Traveling throughout the Maritime provinces to support customer sites (day and overnight trips);
  • Completing electronic service reports and documentation accurately and on time;
  • Managing service van inventory and replacement parts;
  • Collaborating with the operations team to improve service quality and efficiency;
  • Identifying potential service and sales opportunities while on-site with customers;
  • Responding to customer service requests assigned by the Service Coordinator;
  • Following all Occupational Health & Safety guidelines and procedures;
  • Participating in ongoing training, mentorship, and shadowing opportunities.
QualificationsOur client is looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn. Previous experience servicing automotive lifts is not required, as training will be provided.Required Skills & Attributes
  • Strong mechanical interest and aptitude;
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively;
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  • Comfortable with regular travel throughout the Maritimes (travel expenses and accommodations covered);
    • Day trips approximately weekly;
    • Overnight trips approximately bi-weekly;
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean and safe driving record;
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Considered an Asset
  • Automotive mechanic experience;
  • Millwright or other mechanical trade experience.
