Progesys is a recognized firm in project management and the optimal transition of these projects from construction to operation. The company has been based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia and South America.

Progesys is looking for a Project Control Coordinator for a mining project in Vancouver.

Main Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager and project team in the planning, coordination, execution, and administration of project activities. The role ensures effective communication between stakeholders, facilitates project reporting, and helps maintain alignment with project objectives, schedules, and deliverables.

Support the development and implementation of project execution plans and project coordination processes

Coordinate project activities and facilitate communication between project teams, engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, and clients

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, action logs, meeting minutes, and project documentation

Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding actions, deliverables, and commitments

Coordinate and organize project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications

Support the preparation of project status reports, presentations, dashboards, and progress updates for management and clients

Track project deliverables, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Maintain project records, correspondence, document control systems, and filing structures

Assist with project procurement, contract administration, and vendor coordination activities as required

Support the management of project changes, risks, issues, and lessons learned registers

Ensure project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with company procedures and project requirements

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to project management tools, systems, and processes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, project management support, or a related role

Experience working on industrial, mining, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects

Good understanding of project management principles, project execution processes, and project lifecycle phases

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and interacting with various project stakeholders

Familiarity with project execution phases including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning

Experience with project management and collaboration tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, SharePoint, SAP, Power BI, or similar)

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
