Dual Ticket Journeyman

Role Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Dual Ticketed Journeyperson, Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician with electrical experience, or Journeyperson Electrician with instrumentation experience to join our team in Athabasca, Alberta for a temporary contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, test, calibrate, and maintain industrial electrical, instrumentation, and control systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and corrective repairs to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Support industrial and power generation equipment including motors, generators, turbines, and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, contractors, and other trades during maintenance, shutdowns, and project work.
• Complete work orders, calibration records, maintenance reports, and other required documentation accurately within CMMS systems.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician and Instrumentation Technician certification required; Red Seal certification preferred.
• Experience in industrial maintenance electrical and instrumentation environments, preferably within gas plants, power generation, or industrial manufacturing facilities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, electrical systems, voltage/current relationships, the Canadian Electrical Code, and OH&S requirements.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, and HMI systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance; Allen-Bradley experience considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, technical documents, and P&IDs.
• Proficient with hand tools, electrical tools, testing devices, and calibration equipment including multimeters and loop calibrators.
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSOcertifications required.
• Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licenserequired.
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, weekends, and shutdown schedules with a strong focus on safety and self-direction.
• Ability to work in various environments including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $45 per hour
• Accommodations provided with an additional $50 LOA (Living out allowance) per day.
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
