About the Role
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Vancouver law firm, is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join their busy Business Law practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated professional to work on a variety of corporate matters within a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical corporate experience and enjoy working on complex transactions while managing a high volume of files.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lawyers with the preparation of legal documents for complex corporate transactions
- Handle corporate governance matters for corporations, partnerships, and joint ventures
- Prepare and file corporate documents, including incorporations, amalgamations, name changes, share transactions, and director/officer changes
- Conduct and review corporate searches, including BC Online, PPR, tax, and employment-related searches
- Manage filings with corporate registries, including BC and federal jurisdictions
- Prepare and maintain corporate records, including minute books
- Conduct due diligence reviews for asset and share purchase transactions
- Assist with deficiency reporting and follow-up
- Respond to client inquiries and manage routine corporate matters independently
- Provide support to lawyers, students, and internal teams on corporate matters
Qualifications & Experience
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a corporate/commercial paralegal in a Canadian law firm
- Strong working knowledge of BC corporate processes and registries
- Experience with BC Online and corporate filings across jurisdictions
- Advanced proficiency in NetDocs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
