MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our IT services and technology solutions client to find a first-class Account Manager (Hunter) to join their team in Ottawa, ON (hybrid). The primary responsibility of this role will be to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth by developing and closing complex enterprise opportunities across targeted sectors.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to achieve new logo acquisition targets
- Build and manage a robust pipeline through strategic prospecting, networking, and market engagement
- Lead the full enterprise sales cycle from qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closing
- Develop executive-level relationships to drive long-term account growth and deal progression
- Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with client needs and deliver compelling proposals
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales with a strong focus on new business development, specifically to Federal departments
- Proven success selling IT services, managed services, or technology solutions
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills in complex sales environments
- Established network across key sectors such as public sector, banking, or retail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
