TheRole
InvestXisseekinga highly analytical, intellectually curious, and execution-focused Analyst, Portfolio Analytics & Investments to join our Vancouver team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who wants direct exposure to private markets, venture capital, portfolio management, and investment operations within a fast-growing alternative investment firm. You will sit at the intersection of investing, valuation, fund operations, and emerging technology helpingmonitorand analyze a portfolio of some of the most innovative private companies in the world.
Roughly two-thirdsof the role will focus on portfolio analytics, valuation support, NAV reporting, and investor reporting acrossInvestXfunds and SPVs. The remainingportionof your time will support the investment team with research, screening, and due diligence on new late-stage growth investment opportunities.
You will work closely with senior leadership, the investment team, fund administrators, auditors, and compliance partners, gaining exposure rarely available at the Analyst level.
This role is ideal for someone coming from investment banking, venture capital, private equity, fund administration, valuation advisory, audit, or equity research who wants to deepen their exposure to private markets whileoperatingin a highly entrepreneurial and AI-enabled environment.

Responsibilities
Portfolio Analytics & Fund Operations:
- Support quarterly valuation processes acrossInvestXfunds and SPVs, including fair value assessments and supporting documentation under ASC 820 / IFRS 13.
- Prepare andmaintainquarterly NAV calculations, including capital activity reconciliations, fee calculations, expenses, and unrealized gains/losses.
- Calculate andmaintainkey fund performance metrics including IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI, and PME benchmarking.
- Produce investor reporting materials, portfolio updates, capital account statements, and ad-hoc LP requests.
- Monitor portfolio company developments including financing rounds, secondary market activity, operating updates, and valuation-impacting events.
- Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, legal counsel, and compliance teams to support quarterly close, annual audits, and regulatory reporting.
Investment Research & Due Diligence:
- Support the investment team in screening and evaluating prospective late-stage growth investments.
- Conduct company, market, sector, and competitive landscape research.
- Build andmaintainfinancial models including DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses.
- Assistin preparing investment committee materials and internal research memoranda.
- Contribute to thematic research across venture capital, AI, fintech, infrastructure, and broader growth equity markets.
AI & Workflow Innovation:
- InvestXoperates with an AI-first mindset across research, reporting, and operational workflows. We are looking for someone who views AI as a core productivity and analytical tool, not simply a novelty.
- Identifyopportunities to automate repetitive reporting, diligence, and data workflows.
- Use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI platforms to accelerate research, summarization, document analysis, and operational efficiency.
- Help improve internal processes through prompt engineering, workflow design, automation tools, and AI-assisted research systems.
- Contribute to building scalable, modern infrastructure across portfolio analytics and investment operations.
- Candidates who candemonstratepractical examples of leveraging AI to improve speed, consistency, or analytical depth will stand out.
Qualifications
- 25 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, fund administration, valuation advisory, audit, equity research, or related financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of private company valuation methodologies including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and recent financing rounds.
- Familiarity with fund performance metrics including IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI, and PME.
- Exposure to fund structures including LPs, SPVs, feeder funds, capital calls, and distribution mechanics preferred.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience with fund administration platforms such asAllvue, Investran, oreFrontis considered an asset.
- CFA, CPA, CIPM, or progress toward designation is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance precision, speed, and sound judgment.
- Passion for continuous learning and process improvement.
- Eligibility to travel between the US and Canada as needed.
- A Criminal Record Check and Credit Check is required for this position.

rangeis$80,000 - $95,000CADplus incentive plan and equity.
