GIS Analyst
Our client is seeking a GIS Analyst to support and enhance GIS‑based systems within an enterprise environment. This role is responsible for deploying and supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments, troubleshooting system and application issues, and maintaining integration across front‑end applications, APIs, databases, and infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will bring strong GIS platform experience, particularly with ArcGIS Enterprise, along with solid technical troubleshooting capabilities across multiple system layers.

Our client is seeking a GIS Analyst to support and enhance GIS‑based systems within an enterprise environment. This role is responsible for deploying and supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments, troubleshooting system and application issues, and maintaining integration across front‑end applications, APIs, databases, and infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will bring strong GIS platform experience, particularly with ArcGIS Enterprise, along with solid technical troubleshooting capabilities across multiple system layers.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Implement and upgrade ArcGIS Enterprise environments to support business requirements
- Install and configure new GIS system deployments
- Diagnose and resolve application, server, and system‑level issues
- Provide end‑to‑end troubleshooting across front‑end, API, database, and infrastructure components
- Support and optimize GIS applications and workflows for reliability and performance
- Work with mapping and field data tools to support operational needs
- Maintain and troubleshoot scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and communication in all interactions
- Document solutions, configurations, and troubleshooting steps as needed
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a diploma in a relevant technical field
- 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of GIS technologies, including utility network and field mapping tools
- Experience with SQL Server and database management tools
- Proficiency in troubleshooting scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex, multi‑layer technical issues
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently while following direction and priorities
- Experience with job scheduling or automation tools considered an asset

This is a full-time position based in Edmonton, AB.
