OVERVIEW

Vertex offers a modern, company owned and maintained, fleet of vacuum, hydro-vac, pressure, water, steam trucks, chemical units and industrial cleaning equipment, capable of meeting all drilling, production, turnaround, plant and completion needs of our clients.

Vertex is currently accepting applications for one full-time, permanent Business Development Representative for our Hydrovac services division. The business development representative will promote Hydrovac services. The successful candidate must be results driven, detail oriented, possess relevant sales and management experience, and have a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment. This position will be promoting services for Edmonton and area.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of oilfield servicing experience, preference to be given to candidates with a strong background Hydrovac services
  • Minimum 5 years of business development / sales experience, including generating new opportunities and managing client relationships
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate to advanced)
  • Experience working with a CRM system
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Canada
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and deliver strong customer service
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, clients, and service lines
  • Maintain a strong regional presence through travel and client engagement
  • Develop a deep understanding of the local marketplace, competitors, and client needs
  • Manage and grow existing accounts and contracts, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure alignment between sales, service delivery, and client expectations
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Support the development of proposals (RFPs), bids, and quotations
  • As needed, support operational execution to ensure successful delivery of projects and client commitments

  • This position will be based out of our Sherwood Park office.
