We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our growing procurement team. Working closely with a team of five experienced Buyers, this role provides essential administrative and data entry support to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
This position is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in procurement, buying, or logistics, offering hands-on exposure to purchasing systems, processes, and high-volume workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Order Processing
- Accurately process high volumes of purchasing and order data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Email & Communication Management
- Manage a high-volume inbox (approximately 50–60 emails per day) and handle occasional inbound phone calls.
- System & Data Maintenance
- Enter, update, and track purchasing information within the AS400 ERP system.
- Administrative & Team Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the purchasing team, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely completion of tasks.
- Workflow & Priority Management
- Effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet daily deadlines.
