Class 1 Winch Truck Driver

The Class 1 Winch Truck Driver plays a critical role in safely transporting drilling rig components and heavy haul equipment. Operating as a solo driver, the individual is responsible for proficient winch operation, regular equipment inspection, and adherence to stringent safety standards. This role involves daily and weekly maintenance checks on both the vehicle, trailer, and winch equipment, as well as basic emergency response capabilities including first aid and H2S awareness.

Superior Oilfield (Division of Superior Concrete Pumping) moves drilling rigs on the daily basis. Looking for some class 1 winch truck operators to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Operate winch to load, secure, and unload heavy equipment
• Drive Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently over various routes
• Inspect vehicle, trailers, and winch equipment daily and weekly for maintenance needs
• Adhere to all safety regulations and emergency response protocols
• Secure loads effectively to prevent shifting during transport
• Plan and navigate routes to optimize delivery times and fuel use
• Follow daily dispatches as well as orders from site supervisors on a daily basis
• Report maintenance issues promptly for timely resolutions
• Maintain clear communication with relevant teams and supervisors
• Document transportation activities and equipment status accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial vehicle driving
• Possession of a valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License
• Proficient in winch operation and safety procedures
• Skilled in route planning and load securing techniques
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Effective time management abilities
