Payroll & Accounting Analyst (Contract)
Our client is on the search for a Payroll & Accounting Analyst to join their team. This role has a focus on payroll accounting oversight and general ledger integrity. The role prepares payroll-related inputs and remittances and performs a detailed review and validation of payroll outputs for this outsourced payroll environment. The role is also involved with financial reporting and close processes, responsible for supporting the compliant reporting of financial results to stakeholders.

Our client is on the search for a Payroll & Accounting Analyst to join their team. This role has a focus on payroll accounting oversight and general ledger integrity. The role prepares payroll-related inputs and remittances and performs a detailed review and validation of payroll outputs for this outsourced payroll environment. The role is also involved with financial reporting and close processes, responsible for supporting the compliant reporting of financial results to stakeholders.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Demonstrate accountability for the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of payroll-related financial processes
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, the external payroll provider, and internal stakeholders
- Support month-end and year-end financial close, including reconciliations, working papers, and adjustments
- Research CRA guidance, investigate variances, and problem solving
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over payroll processes, including review, validation, and reconciliation procedures
- Demonstrating the ability to take ownership and ensure accuracy and completeness of work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills are a must
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem solving and reaching abilities
- Ability to work independently and also with a team
- Experience with JDE and SAP is an asset
