AbouttheRole
WearelookingforaBusinessDevelopmentManagertodrivenewcustomeracquisitionandbuildourpresencewithintheCPGmarket.
This is a high-impact, new business role focused on identifying, engaging, and winning new CPG brands. You will be responsible for building your own pipeline, closing new accounts, and helping expand our footprint in a rapidly growing market.
KeyResponsibilities
- Identify,target,andacquirenewCPGcustomersacrossNorthAmerica,prioritizingopportunitiesinOntario and the GTA.
- Conductcoldoutreachviaphone,email,LinkedIn,andotherchannelstogeneratenewsalesopportunities.
- BuildandmanageapipelineofqualifiedCPGprospects.
- Scheduleandattendin-personmeetingsandfacilityvisitswithprospectsacrossOntarioandtheGTA.
- Presentourpackagingcapabilitiesanddevelopcustompackagingsolutionsbasedoncustomerneeds.
- Prepareproposalsandnegotiatepricing,contracts,andcommercialtermstoclosenewbusiness.
- Workcloselywithinternalteams(estimating,production,andcustomerservice)toensureaccurate quoting and smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Maintainaccuraterecordsofactivities,opportunities,andpipelineinCRMsystems.
- Representusatindustrytradeshows,events,andnetworkingevents;andconductpre-showprospectoutreachandpost-showfollow-upstoconvertleadsandopportunitiesintonewbusiness.
- Achieveorexceedmonthlyandannualnewrevenuetargets.
Qualifications&Experience
- 3+yearsofbusinessdevelopmentornewbusinesssalesexperienceinaB2Benvironment.
- Strongpreferenceforcandidateswith:
- ExperiencesellingtoCPGbrands,or
- DirectexperienceworkingwithintheCPGindustry.
- Demonstratedabilitytoprospect,negotiate,andclosenewbusiness.
- Experiencesellingmanufacturing,packaging,printing,orsupplychainservicesisanasset.
- Excellentcommunication,negotiation,andrelationship-buildingskills.
- Highlyself-motivatedwithastronghuntermentalityandabilitytoworkindependently.
Requirements
- BasedintheToronto/GreaterTorontoArea.
- ValidOntarioGClassdriverslicense.
- Accesstoareliablevehicleforlocalclientvisitsandprospectmeetings.
- AbilitytotravellocallywithinOntarioandtheGTA,withoccasionaltravelacrossNorthAmericaasneeded.
