Niagara Adventure Excursions

As a member of the Gear Crew, you play a vital role in supporting risk management and safety across the park. You are responsible for detailed gear and equipment inspections, helping ensure every guest experience is safe, positive, and well prepared. You are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, with a strong ability to identify potential risks and respond appropriately.

You thrive in outdoor environments, are physically active, and highly detail oriented. You are confident in your technical skills, think quickly, and demonstrate sound judgment in dynamic situations.

What Youll Do:

Participate in all opening inspections and daily gear inspections, escalating any concerns to a Team Lead

Safely transport gear and equipment between operational areas

Ensure proper fit, adjustment, and use of equipment before and during activities

Follow and support all activity guidelines, policies, and procedures

Help ensure guests enjoy safe, positive, and enriching experiences

Provide excellent customer service and positive guest engagement

Act as a positive and proactive member of the Niagara Adventure Excursions team

Escalate concerns when guests may be putting themselves or others at risk

Monitor elements for risk management and intervene when necessary, following training protocols

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal as needed

Share guest feedback, both positive and constructive, with leadership

Report incidents or inappropriate behavior involving guests or team members to Team Leads, Supervisors, or Park Management

Report equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to Team Leads or the Tech Team

Understand and follow site emergency and evacuation procedures

Remain aware of terrain risks such as loose rock, snow, ice, or mud, and take appropriate action to manage or escalate these risks

Consistently deliver high standards of work in all weather conditions

Take proactive steps to manage environmental and physical risks, including hydration, weather exposure, and recognizing signs of cold or heat related illness

Complete additional duties as assigned by Team Leads, Supervisors, or Park Management

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including carrying and lifting equipment, frequent standing and walking, and bending or kneeling.Assistance is required for lifts of over 50 lbs, and reasonable accommodation may be available

On the job training and ongoing support are provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of or experience in outdoor recreation, either through participation or previous work experience

Department and Reporting Structure

The Zipline Gear Crew position falls under the Element Department. You report to the Zipline Guide Lead and are supported by the Element Supervisor and Park Management.

Work Schedule

Seasonal position with flexible full-time or part-time hours based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position is planned to begin around April 1st 2026.
