Accounts Payable Clerk

Full time - $32/hr. -$36/hr.

Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Accounts Payable Clerk will perform a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures, including assisting with year-end audits.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • A minimum of a Certificate in Accounting, or Bookkeeping
  • One to three years of relevant experience in accounts payable
  • Competencies and understanding of databases and accounting software
  • Strong to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel and Sage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Mathematical ability, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties
  • Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Ability to work individually as well as a part of a team
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Clear Criminal Record Check is required
