Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 + Commission

Description

Our client is seeking a highly capable Freight Forwarder to manage North American LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) freight operations. This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and can independently oversee shipments from initial quotation through to final delivery with minimal oversight.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Quote and execute LTL and FTL shipments across Canada and the United States

  • Book freight directly with carriers and agents

  • Manage all shipping documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

  • Coordinate drayage, inland trucking, and warehousing activities

  • Proactively monitor shipments, manage exceptions, and resolve delays efficiently

  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with carriers and logistics partners

  • Provide accurate shipment visibility and communicate clearly and promptly with customers

What You Must Have

  • 3–5+ years of freight forwarding experience

  • Direct, hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations

  • Proven ability to manage shipments end-to-end without supervision

  • Demonstrated experience quoting and booking North American LTL and FTL shipments

  • Strong attention to detail and operational execution skills

  • Highly self-directed with the ability to work independently

  • Preference for ownership and autonomy over people management

  • Calm, methodical approach with the ability to perform well in exception-driven environments
