Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Officer to oversee and promote a strong safety culture across active job sites. This role is responsible for ensuring all work environments are compliant with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations while proactively identifying risks and implementing effective safety strategies. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in multi-family residential construction and is committed to maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant job sites.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure equipment, materials, and processes do not pose safety risks to workers or the public

• Implement, monitor, and continuously improve health and safety programs and procedures

• Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations

• Deliver site orientations for new employees and visitors

• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings to reinforce awareness and accountability

• Identify hazards and take immediate corrective action to address unsafe conditions or behaviors

• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports

What You Must Have

• 3+ years of experience as a Construction Safety Officer

• NCSO designation preferred

• Proven experience in multi-family residential construction projects

• Valid First Aid certification

• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Computer proficiency (reporting, documentation, etc.)

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to commit to full-time, on-site work

Salary & Perks

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
