The Account Owner is the primary point of contact with the customer and provides customer/technical support, planning and optimization for the account. The Account Owner maintains and develops relationships with existing and new clients while ensuring the best possible revenue for ZIM.

Key responsibilities:

  • Meets with clients in person for negotiating rates and closing deals.
  • Delivers all sales presentations to key accounts.
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans.
  • Develops new account.
  • Establishes and coordinates specialized rates (per commodity - if/when mandate has been assigned to him/her) for each office.
  • Communicates with other offices in regard to specialized rates .
  • Forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Report on market activity (weekly).
  • Benchmarking and intel gathering on customers and competition.
  • Monitor and manage account's business volume and revenue metrics within our company CRM system.
  • Maintain and log sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Generate periodic customer forecast figures.
  • Respond to inquiries, by email or phone, from clients/vendors and other ZIM Offices.
  • Act as a backup to team members.

Requirements:

  • C.E.G.E.P. (or equivalent) diploma
  • Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Literacy
