INTERNAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
REGISTERED NURSE
JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME PERMANENT
WAGE: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
DEADLINE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Eagle Lake Health Centre is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver safe, client-centred, and culturally respectful care. The RN supports community wellness through primary care nursing, health promotion, chronic disease support, and coordinated client services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide nursing assessments, triage, and direct care in a primary care/community health setting
- Administer medications and immunizations, perform treatments, and support clinical procedures within scope
- Support chronic disease management, health teaching, and wellness planning with clients and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and client records (case notes, charts, reports)
- Coordinate care with internal programs and external providers (hospital, PHU, home care, social services)
- Participate in emergency response and follow established clinical/safety protocols
- Contribute to program delivery, community health initiatives, and continuous quality improvement
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current CPR (Basic Life Support); First Aid is an asset
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a busy, community-based setting
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel locally (as needed)
ASSETS:
- Community health, public health, primary care, or remote/rural nursing experience
- Experience working with First Nations/Indigenous communities and a strong commitment to culturally safe care
- Training in trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, mental health/addictions, or chronic disease education
SCREENING/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (or Criminal Record Check, as applicable)
- Immunization status per workplace requirements
- Proof of licensing, certifications, and professional liability coverage (as applicable)
