Die Cast Process Control Technician
Position Summary:
The Process control department is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the die casting process on a daily basis and maintaining records using the existing monitoring equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor the Die Cast process on a daily basis
- Maintain records using the existing monitoring equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues and apply best practice from data analysis to improve output.
- Perform technical calculations for setting up the Die Cast process.
- Engage in activities that promote continuous improvement to optimize the Die Cast process. Initiate reviews of existing processes and search for ways to improve output and quality
- Investigate any concerns related to the casting quality on both die cast and machining, and take corrective action where required.
- Prepare die lube samples for outside analysis.
- Assist shop floor (including hands on operations and casting).
- As required, assist Engineering Tool Design in making decisions including cavity orientation, runner and gate size/location, overflow and vents location, and cooling system.
- RAPID programming.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Education in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology and/or equivalent work experience
- Experience: Die-casting & aluminum metrology experience is preferred
