We are currently recruiting for our client in Guelph, Kitchener and Cambridge for a Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician. Performing repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks ensure that they are in safe and reliable working condition. This position is a Permanent Direct Hire. Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems - Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment - Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems - Use manufacturer's service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles - Communicate with customers to explain work needed - Work efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines and minimize downtime - Attend company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses as scheduled by management - Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve processes and reduce waste - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Other related duties as assigned Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field (e.g. motive power/auto technology) an asset - 1-3 years of experience as a licensed heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent experience in the industry - Licensed 310T Truck Coach Technician, or a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice working under a valid Registered Training Agreement with Skills Ontario Trades of equivalent and 2-3 years of experience. - Valid G class driver's license with a good driving record.
