PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program ofPearson LIFT(Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canadas largest airport for the future of air travelincluding critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
JOB SUMMARY
PACT is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Pull Planning & Last Planning Coordinator to support the successful delivery of projects through Lean construction methodologies. This role is responsible for facilitating pull planning sessions, coordinating weekly work planning, and ensuring adherence to the Last Planner System to improve project predictability, efficiency, and team alignment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about driving continuous improvement in project execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate pull planning sessions with cross-functional project teams to develop reliable and efficient project schedules.
- Support implementation and ongoing execution of the Last Planner System across projects.
- Coordinate weekly work planning (WWP) meetings and ensure clear commitments from project teams.
- Assist in developing phase schedules, lookahead plans, and constraint logs.
- Monitor project schedules to ensure alignment with pull plans and milestones.
- Track and manage constraints affecting workflow and proactively drive resolution.
- Ensure tasks are sequenced properly based on dependencies and project priorities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning documentation.
- Track key performance metrics, such as Percent Plan Complete (PPC).
- Analyze planning data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on planning performance to project stakeholders.
- Support root cause analysis for plan failures and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to ensure alignment.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across teams.
- Provide guidance and training to project teams on Lean planning tools and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and workflows.
- Support Lean initiatives and promote adoption of best practices across PACT.
- Contribute to standardization of planning tools, templates, and processes.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position will be based at our office or site office in Mississauga, Ontario, with frequent visits to the Airport site as required. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday during regular office or site hours. At times, operational needs may require work outside these hours, with reasonable notice provided. All schedule or oncall adjustments will comply with applicable employment standards legislation. It is mandatory for all employees to complete a Criminal Background check and successfully attain a Restricted Access Identity Card (RAIC) upon joining the company.
DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project coordination.
- Holds professional experience in large complex infrastructure programs in an operational or aviation environment.
- Experience with Lean Construction principles is preferred.
- Experience with Touchplan and Last Planner System is preferred.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and workflows.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills across technical and field teams.
- Valid drivers license and eligibility for RAIC clearance required.
