The Opportunity
RideWraps Mechanical Designers are responsible for designing our meticulously engineered Tailored Protection kits.
Attention to detail, creative problem solving and design are all key requirements for the role. Youre solving puzzles and putting together the best kits while considering the application process, our end customers, and aesthetics. Youll be working with an enthusiastic team of designers and collaborating on new projects, prototypes, solutions and improvements.
About Us
RideWrap is a rider-owned and operated business. Since the beginning, our objective has been simple: help riders get the most out of their time riding bikes. RideWraps proprietary systems are born from combining a background in precision engineering with a love for riding bikes. We produce industry-leading frame protection components for all bikes and riders.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop designs for new and existing products.
  • Develop product assets using 3D CAD programs.
  • Review, rectify and document product irregularities.
  • Manage a schedule of designs for high quality and on-time completion.
  • Refine the design work process.
  • Document process improvements and asset creation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and create solutions
  • Prototype new product concepts.
  • Generate product documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in digital/3D design.
  • Experience working with various CAD programs is required, portfolio examples will be requested.
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience managing a busy schedule.
  • Self-starter with excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay in the zone and tackle a steady series of tasks.
  • Computer wiz - proficiency with Solidworks or Inventor is essential.
  • Ability to transfer skills to new software.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Is stoked about biking and getting involved in the bike industry.
PLEASE NOTE - This is position located in Whistler, BC. Applicants will need to currently live in the area to be considered.
