Guidewire Integration Engineer - Contract

Our client is a global Tier 1 Systems Integrator with projects in Canada and we are looking for someone at the Senior Consultant level for a Guidewire Integration project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and design end-to-end integrations for Guidewire InsuranceSuite via APIs, messaging, and integration gateways.

• Configure and extend Guidewire integration points (Gosu, Messaging, SOAP/REST, web services) and leverage the XCenter/integration hub pattern.

• Develop and maintain integration components (transformations, mappings, orchestration) with ESB/iPaaS tools where applicable.

• Implement data exchange with external partners/systems (policy admin, billing, claims, rating, document management, payments, data providers).

• Ensure performance, reliability, and security (error handling, retry, logging, authentication, PII protection).

• Support SIT/UAT and production deployments; troubleshoot integration defects and perform root-cause analysis.

• Produce technical documentation, integration specs, and runbooks; provide knowledge transfer.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and business SMEs to align on standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 4–7+ years of experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite integrations (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter /Jutro/ IG Apps).

• Hands-on proficiency with Guidewire integration patterns: Gosu, Messaging (events, plugins), SOAP/REST services, and data model mappings.

• Use Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus/Event Grid) for orchestration, async messaging, and event-driven flows.

• Has prior experience of working in Production support role for mission critical enterprise applications.

• Strong understanding of insurance domain processes (policy, billing, claims) and common third party integrations (DMS, payments, rating, data providers).

• Proficient in source control (Git), CI/CD, and environment management; familiarity with Agile delivery.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
