Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Join a leading logistics company as an Administrative Assistant, where you will play a vital role in the transportation team. You will be the primary point of contact for checking shipments and truck drivers in and out, as well as inputting information into the company's warehouse management system. Your daily tasks will involve entering Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proof of Deliveries (PODs) into the internal database, and communicating with the shipping and receiving team regarding inventory discrepancies. You will also handle outbound and inbound calls from drivers seeking directions or customers inquiring about their deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the transportation team, managing shipment and truck driver check-ins and check-outs.
  • Input BOLs and PODs into the company's warehouse management system.
  • Communicate with the shipping and receiving team to address inventory discrepancies.
  • Handle outbound and inbound calls from drivers and customers, providing assistance or directing them to the appropriate department.
  • Resolve issues related to damaged or lost deliveries.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of clerical or administrative experience, preferably in the distribution or transportation industry.
  • Strong command of the English language for communication with multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in administrative support and customer service.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including MS Excel, and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the freight or trucking industry.
  • Knowledge of the Truckmate warehouse management system.
  • Comfortable working in a blue-collar/trucking environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
