Employment Type: Full-Time; PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety & Compliance Administrator to support our safety and regulatory programs within a federally regulated trucking operation specializing in the transportation of petroleum and gas products. This role plays a key part in ensuring our organization remains compliant with applicable federal regulations, internal policies, and industry safety standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor compliance with federal transportation regulations
  • Support the administration of safety and compliance programs, including driver files, training records, and certifications, and Occupational Health and Safety
  • Track and audit driver qualification files to ensure all required documentation (licenses, medicals, TDG training, etc.) is current and complete
  • Coordinate and track safety training and recertifications, including TDG, WHMIS, and defensive driving
  • Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits
  • Support incident reporting, investigation documentation, and follow-up actions
  • Maintain records related to dangerous goods (TDG) compliance and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Liaise with operations, safety, and HR teams to ensure consistent compliance practices
  • Assist with policy updates and communication of regulatory changes to relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, safety administration, or transportation/logistics
  • Experience in a federally regulated environment (trucking, oil & gas, or transportation) is strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
