Western Xpress Delivery is seeking experienced Class 1 drivers to join our growing furniture and appliance delivery division. If you're looking for steady work with a company that values professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction, we want to hear from you.

THE ROLE

• Execute 12-20 stops per route across Greater Edmonton surrounding areas and parts of Saskatchewan and BC
• Deliver furniture, appliances, and high-value merchandise requiring white-glove service
• Maintain 95%+ first-time delivery success rate
• Average 25-35 pieces per shift with weight handling up to 500 lbs per item (team lifts)
• Achieve < 30 minute average dwell time per delivery including setup
• Target 98%+ on-time delivery performance with real-time GPS tracking

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Operate 5-ton straight trucks and tractor-trailers on regional and local routes
• We service as far south as the US border and as far North as Ft St John and Fort Mcmurray
• Provide professional in-home delivery including placement and basic setup
• Complete pre-trip inspections and DVIR documentation
• Navigate residential deliveries with challenging access (stairs, elevators, narrow spaces)
• Maintain damage-free delivery record with proper load securing and handling protocols
• Work collaboratively with helpers/team drivers on 2-person deliveries

REQUIREMENTS

✓ Valid Alberta Class 1 license with clean abstract
✓ Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience (furniture/appliance delivery preferred)
✓ Strong customer service skills - you're the face of our company
✓ Able to lift 150+ lbs repeatedly and work physically demanding shifts
✓ Professional appearance and communication
✓ Flexible schedule including early starts and occasional weekends
✓ Clean criminal record check
