We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products
  • Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations
  • Implement and improve quality control operating procedures
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects
  • Participate in routine visual inspections
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and the ability to use specialized tools and machinery to test products
  • Excellent math and computer skills necessary for measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications
  • Intelligence to assess and identify damaged parts and products during the manufacturing process
  • In-depth understanding to interpret blueprints, technical documents, and manuals to ensure that products meet the standards
  • Keen eye for details, thoroughness, and accuracy while performing a task
  • Problem-solving mentality and a results-driven approach
  • Ability to use quality testing machines, tools, and systems

Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Quality Inspectors need at least two to five years experience in quality assurance for this role.
  • They must have experience working with quality control techniques such as six sigma and with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, and calipers.
  • Candidates with additional experience with raw materials, quality control standards, and testing techniques have an advantage.
  • ISO 9001 and AS9100D experience preferred.
