Primary Responsibilities
- Own and oversee inspection and compliance programs for static mechanical assets, including piping, pressure vessels, tanks, valves, and concrete structures.
- Coordinate routine condition assessments, failure investigations, and third-party inspections, while providing integrity recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive asset integrity documentation and compile technical reports for regulatory and jurisdictional authorities
- Collaborate proactively with Engineering and Management of Change teams to identify modifications necessitating technical review and approval
- Oversee QA and QC requirements and counsel planners and execution teams on relevant quality standards
- Develop medium- to long-term forecasts for integrity-related activities
- Create comprehensive, technically accurate work packages to ensure readiness for execution
- Collaborate with planners and schedulers to guarantee efficient planning and allocation of resources for integrity work
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory and jurisdictional agencies
- Coordinate inspections and ensure corrective actions and documentation are completed within established timelines
- Provide oversight and coordination for designated specialty support services
- Ensure that contractors and internal teams adhere to safety standards, project scope, and quality expectations
Qualifications Required
- An engineering degree, with a preference for or eligibility for the Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
- A minimum of five years of pertinent industry experience in asset integrity, inspections, or maintenance support within industrial settings
- Working knowledge of pressure equipment regulations and standard inspection procedures
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems; SAP proficiency preferred
- Strong documentation, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills
- Proven ability to develop structured work packages and support planning activities
Preferred - API, NBIC, or equivalent inspection certifications such as API 510, 570, or 653
- Proven experience in planning, developing inspection test plans, or providing turnaround support
- Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance or risk-based inspection methodologies
