About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a large-scale cement manufacturing operation in Brookfield, NS. This role is ideal for a strong operational leader with experience in heavy industrial environments, unionized workforce management, and production oversight. You will be responsible for leading production supervisors and operational teams across a continuous manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and performance targets are consistently achieved.This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Plant Manager and plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement across quarry, production, and control room operations.
What We OfferSalary: $120,000 – $135,000 base + bonus (0–24%)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Overtime: Based on operational requirements

What You'll Do

• Lead production supervisors and oversee daily cement manufacturing operations
• Manage unionized production teams across continental shifts
• Ensure safety, production targets, and quality standards are consistently met
• Oversee quarry, kiln, pyro-processing, and plant operations coordination
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
• Support KPI management, reporting, and performance tracking using SAP and other systems
• Coach and develop supervisors and operational teams
• Collaborate with maintenance, quarry, control room, and technical teams
• Manage a 40% office / 60% floor leadership balance
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
• Participate in on-call or shift coverage as required

Experience Required:

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
• 3–5 years of production management experience
• Strong background in unionized environments
• Experience in cement manufacturing, mining, quarry, or heavy industrial processing (preferred)
• Bachelor of Engineering or related technical field preferred
