Job Title: Pre- Practicum Services Associate

Purpose

The Pre-Practicum Services Associate plays a key role in preparing students for their practicum by ensuring they meet all program-specific eligibility requirements. The position supports students throughout the pre-practicum process by verifying documentation,monitoringcompliance, communicating important deadlines, and coordinating with internal departments. The associate helpsmaintainaccuraterecords and ensures students are fully prepared to transition into their practicum placementsin accordance withinstitutional and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and updatepre-practicum eligibility listsfor students across applicable programs.
  • Verify completion ofacademic prerequisites, including required courses andminimumgrade requirements.
  • Ensure thesubmission and verification of required documentation, such as medical forms, criminal record checks, and other compliance documents.
  • Track and monitorstudent compliancewith practicum requirements and report outstanding or incomplete items.
  • Communicatedeadlines, requirements, and updatesrelated to practicum preparation to studentsin a timely manner.
  • Coordinate withacademic departments and practicum coordinatorsto support student readiness for placements.
  • Monitor and confirmorientation ofattendance and completion of required theory courses prior to practicum placement.
  • Reviewstudent status documentation, including study permits, co-op work permits, and other immigration-related requirements when applicable.
  • Verify completion of required certifications and training such asNVCI, POPARD, Mandt, and WHMIS.
  • ConductBHM program Co-op work permit reviewsto ensure students meet eligibility criteria.
  • Collaborate with theAdmissions teamto provide pre-enrollment awarenessregardingpracticum requirements.
  • Manage and respond tocommon departmental email inboxes, ensuringtimelyresponses to student inquiries.
  • Maintain organized andaccuratestudent records and documentationrelated to pre-practicum compliance.
  • Otherduties assigned by the management.

Education and Experience

  • Business diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of experience in an office environment
