JUNIOR PROJECT CONTROLS ANALYST

The Junior Project Controls Analyst supports the financial, contractual, and systems controls that keep projects compliant, accurate, and running efficiently. This role sits at the intersection of project finance, procurement, contracts, and operations, ensuring project data integrity and early identification of risks or issues.

Structure:

The Junior Project Controls Analyst reports directly to the Director of Projects.

Employment Type: Contract Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Project Financial Controls & Invoicing

  • Track invoice approvals in ProCore and provide reporting for accounting
  • Perform AP invoice input, coding, and verification
  • Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract terms and resolve discrepancies

Procurement & Contract Controls

  • Provide procurement assistance, including commitments, purchase orders, and subcontract issuance then oversee Docusign completion and document control
  • Support contract management ensuring executed agreements and amendments are properly maintained
  • Ensure alignment between contracts, SOVs, and invoicing activity
  • Assist with Schedule of Values (SOV) creation, breakdown, and maintenance

Systems, Data & ProCore Controls

  • Set up and maintain new projects in ProCore
  • Perform ProCore audits, including commitments, invoices, contracts, and directory management
  • Maintain clean project directories and standardized documentation practices
  • Support internal and external project audits

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • University or Diploma graduate. Post-secondary qualification in Construction or Engineering preferred
  • Good ability to read project and building drawings.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years to maximum of 8 years of prior experience working in project controls, project administration or specialty contractor.
  • A self-starter with experience working in a team environment
  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working with ProCore an asset
  • Understanding of procurement workflows, AP invoicing, and SOVs
  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills
    Note: This is a full-time, in-office contract role with the potential for future extension of the contract or conversion into a full-time permanent employment position based on performance and business needs.
