The General Labour Summer Student position is located in Meaford at the Army Training Centre - Central and typically reports directly to the Road and Grounds Manager. Their primary focus of this position will be to provide support to our Roads & Grounds section.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform general Roads & Grounds duties including groundskeeping, maintenance, and outdoor labour
Operate various pieces of equipment (string trimmers, edger, mowers) associated with groundskeeping
Working outdoors in various weather conditions; complete physically demanding work
Support supply-related activities such as inventory organization, receiving, and distribution of materials
Assist with administrative tasks including basic data entry, filing, and documentation support
Additional duties may also be assigned to support site operations

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Possess a valid class G' driver's license
Physical work including, but not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying heavy objects
Must possess serviceable steel toe safety boots that meet standards for workplace safety
Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance
