Specialized Blower Truck DZ Driver or AZ Driver

Blower Xpress Services (BXS) is currently seeking a driver/operator for a specialty blower truck. This unit blows various landscaping materials onto green roofs in parks, commercial projects, residential properties, and in areas where equipment access is limited. The position involves a few hours of driving each day, and much of the day working on site.

Blower Truck Driver/Operator – Tasks:

• Handling heavy hose
• Operating blower unit
• Using remote control for the truck
• Mainly working on site

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A valid DZ or AZ driver's license with at least 2 years of experience driving a tri-axle or equivalent
• Knowledge of hydraulics and simple diesel maintenance
• Strong work ethic (long working hours in the summer)
• Team player who works well with others
• Punctual and reliable
• Experience operating front-end loader/machines with telescopic booms is an asset (training can be provided)
• Ability to push production
• Customer-oriented
• Hydro vac experience is an asset
• Confined Space/Working at Heights certification is an asset (training will be provided if the candidate is not certified)
• Landscaping experience is an asset
• Ability to operate a manual transmission is considered an asset
• Maintain proper communications, paperwork, and electronic logs
• Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work in a way that will not endanger yourself or others
• Knowledge of material volume and seeding ratios is an asset
• Candidate must be comfortable working on rooftops
