The Commercial Associate supports sourcing and commercial operations by coordinating raw material purchasing, supplier management, and logistics activities. This role works cross-functionally to ensure supply continuity, quality compliance, and accurate commercial execution. Reporting to the VP Commercial, the position helps drive business growth and operational efficiency. This is a remote position that requires approximately 25% travel to Calgary, with occasional travel to the U.S. The company offers: - Competitive Salary - Tremendous learning and development opportunities - Company benefits program - Driven, collaborative team of employees Immediate Hire Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal plants through regular communication and site visits. - Support business development initiatives and help expand commercial activity within assigned markets. - Coordinate with Billing and Transportation to ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, and inventory valuation. - Establish and manage sales agreements, supporting negotiations and contract alignment. - Collaborate with Operations and Quality Assurance to monitor raw material quality and compliance. - Work with Logistics to manage transportation, port activities, and external cold storage arrangements. - Resolve customer, supplier, or contractor issues, including claims and grievances. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent relevant experience. - Bilingual proficiency in English and French (required). - 3-5 years of commercial experience in import/export or sales within the food or meat industry. - Strong knowledge of import processes, particularly meat or fish products. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills with the ability to travel as needed.
