Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for various day to day supervisory functions in the logistics department as directed by SinaLite Management.
As the Logistics Supervisor and leader of the Logistics Team, you are accountable for meeting the logistics and quality goals, as well as playing a key role in meeting the company wide profitability and customer satisfaction goals:

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000
Contract End Date: End of September 2026

Key Responsibilities
General and Administrative
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the companys commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals.
- Follow systems and procedures outlined in the Corporate Policy Manual.
- Comply with all OHSA safety requirements and Companys health and safety policies.
- Participate as a key player in the Supervisory Team by supporting operations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with department leads, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales objectives and customer objectives are met.
- Establish and maintain workable and efficient inventory systems and controls for all raw and finished materials.
- Negotiate better pricing for logistics and receiving of goods.
- Collaborate with other managers to optimize processes.
- Continuous improvement in warehouse processes that improve quality and reduce costs.
- Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives aligning with the company to meet companys objectives and goals.
- Monitor and report progress of new logistics, new hires and ongoing training with the department.
- Communicate questions and/or concerns in regards to policies, decisions or instances that may occur to Management/Human Resources.
- Report any accidents/incidences to HR or management.
- Support ad hoc projects and duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Logistics Operations
- Oversee all logistics operations during every shift including managing warehouse personnel, comparing shipment contents with manifests, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
- Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing and logistics products or materials.
- Monitor production activity and production speeds to meet and exceed the set efficiency goals and set quality standards.
- Collaborate with CSRs or any other internal staff to answer any questions.
- Implement procedures that improve departmental efficiency and ensure the obtainment of efficiency targets.
- Operate forklift equipment to load and unload shipments, moving skids around the production floor, etc.
- Organize departmental workflow to meet delivery requirements.
- Maintain logistics records and provide information tosales representatives, customers and management with regard to delivery dates, schedules and logistics problems.
- Prepare, update, and transmit departmental communications.
- Inspect physical condition of the warehouse, dock, vehicles, and equipment according to checkup schedules and initiate appropriate actions to remedy unsatisfactory findings.
- Monitor accuracy and timeliness of all orders to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Ensure employee safety training is conducted as required by Company Policy.
- Coordinate all logistics orders.
- Implement economical logistics methods.
- Assist receiving when required and work as backup.
- Other duties as assigned.
Logistics Personnel
- Review warehouse operations regularly to determine overall levels of efficiency, safety, employee morale, and production, and present findings and suggested changes to department heads and upper management.
- Provide a positive and motivating example for employees.
- Conduct, delegate and/or authorize training of production employees.
- Conduct formal performance reviews per company policy.
- Initiate disciplinary measures according to company policy when needed.
- Create schedules for each employee in the department to ensure that they are working towards set goals.
- Assist in the HR department in reviewing and interviewing potential candidates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Equipment and Supplies
- Develop and implement new purchasing and inventory management procedures.
- Prepare a list of depleted products and a survey of unusable products.
- Schedule, delegate and ensure performance of all equipment maintenance following maintenance procedures.
- Ensure forklift equipment is up-to-date and has been inspected.
- Maintain maintenance logs.
- Ensure that inventories are conducted per company policy and accurate records are maintained.
- Inform department leads of equipment and delivery problems.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience of 5 or more employees.
- Experience in operating various forklift equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills e.g. working well with others, communication, positive attitude.
- Strong and proven leadership, analytical and problem solving skills within a supervisory role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with team building techniques.
