If that sounds like you,wedlove to meet you. We are growing and seeking an ambitious Intermediate Consultant (Mine Water Management) to join our dynamic team. This role is open to our Calgary. Saskatoon, or remote opportunities in Vancouver or Montral.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will workclosely with our mining clientsand technical teamsonprojects that span diverse siteswithunique challengesto developpractical solutionsfor mine watermanagement.

Your work will include:

  • Performingclimate, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support peak flow, floodcontroland erosion mitigation studies.
  • Completinghydrologic and engineering designs for mining clients, incorporating climate change assessments to support planning and design of water infrastructure.
  • Developingand managingmine water balance models to support site-wide water balance assessments and water management planning.
  • Designingand assessingmine water management infrastructure, focus on surface water infrastructure such as channels,pondsand sizing pumping systems.
  • Contributingto the development of water quality models.
  • Collaboratingwith Okanes multidisciplinary teams to support the development and implementation of closure visioning, planning and execution.
  • Providingguidance for the planning and execution ofwatermonitoring programs.
  • Completingtechnically proficient reports that meet project requirements.
  • Providingsupport for proposals of varying complexity in technicalexpertise.
  • Interactingcompetently with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels ofexpertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor orMasters degree in Civil,Environmental or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Holds a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or is eligible to obtain it.
  • 5 to8years of experience in water management within the mining industry.
  • Experience and aptitude for multidisciplinary work and dynamic team environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in hydrology, hydraulics, water infrastructure design, and water balance modelling.
  • Proficiencyusing water modellingsoftwaressuch asGoldSim, HEC-HMS, and other relevant numerical modelling programs.
  • Experience with overseeing and supervising the construction of water management infrastructure is an asset.
  • Experience inintegrating source terms to water balance modelsanddeveloping water quality models is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for both business and technical writingand clear and effective collaborationwithin project teams.
  • Knowledge of Canadian water regulations, codes and environmental standards including relevant professional procedures and practices is an asset.
