Cost Estimator

These are the must haves that we need in a candidate:

• 5+ years of engineering experience with automotive stampings or welded assemblies
• 3+ years of estimating experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of computer software; estimation programs, database (CDB), CAD (Visi), office (Excel)

Additional Details:

• Reports to Manager Cost Estimation Manager
• Initiate estimation downstream activities and ensure a timely response
• Develop the cost structure and manage contents to prepare an offer in conjunction with the individual specialist departments
• Evaluating engineering changes with regard to feasability and cost.
• Verifying enquiry documents with respect to producibility
• Optimal method planning on the basis of state-of-the-art manufacturing and simulation programs in the agreed time in accordance with the current Process Development workflow
• Realization and reporting of the project tasks according to PDP
• Storing relevant documents in CIM DATABASE, according to the workflow
• Supporting development/design to ensure production-ready and cost-optimized product design
• Supporting project/customer teams in local region and abroad with regard to cost model
• Participate in the development of the KA standards for his/her department
• Competent contact for other departments such as with Sales, PM, PD & CME with regards to cost estimation items
