Position OverviewThe Human Resources Business Partner will support 2–3 operational sites, acting as a key liaison between HR and site leadership. This role is highly hands-on and operationally focused, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day HR support.This position is best suited for someone coming from an HR Generalist background who is ready to take the next step into an HRBP capacity.Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Compliance (Core Focus)
- Manage employee relations matters including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations
- Provide guidance on policies, employment legislation, and best practices
- Ensure consistent and compliant HR practices across all assigned sites
- Build strong relationships with site leaders to understand operational challenges
- Partner with leadership to support workforce planning, retention, and productivity
- Provide practical HR solutions aligned with business needs
- Support ongoing, high-volume recruitment across sites
- Partner with leaders to identify hiring needs and talent gaps
- Contribute to onboarding and workforce planning initiatives
- Maintain and audit employee records within HRIS (hires, terminations, changes)
- Support audits, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Assist with HR system usage and troubleshooting
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Health & Safety teams on matters such as accommodations and workplace incidents
- Travel regularly between assigned sites within the Brampton area
- Maintain a visible HR presence on the floor and support leaders during peak operational periods
Qualifications
Experience & Education
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience (Generalist or similar)
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- CHRP designation (or in progress) is an asset
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or warehouse environments strongly preferred
- Experience supporting multi-site operations is an asset
- Strong employee relations and investigation experience
- Solid understanding of Ontario employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code)
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in an operational setting
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and HR systems (Workday or similar preferred)
- Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 (flexibility based on experience and market feedback)
- Bonus: Approximately 5% (company performance-based; typically paid out)
- Benefits: 100% employer-paid, effective immediately

- 100% match up to 3%
- 50% match up to 5%
