Adventure Aviation operates from our headquarters in Grande Prairie, Alberta, with an additional base in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Our operation includes a fleet of single-engine Cessna aircraft and Piper twins supporting our flight training operations, along with the maintenance of multiple turboprop aircraft including Piper, Beechcraft, and De Havilland platforms.
Our maintenance team performs everything from scheduled inspections and defect rectification to major maintenance projects and aircraft rebuilds in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our team as an Aircraft
Maintenance Supervisor / Base Engineer in Grande Prairie, Alberta. We are also hiring rotational AMEs for our Fort St. John, BC operation.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring engineers and apprentices while managing day-to-day maintenance activities in a dynamic hangar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor AMEs and apprentices
- Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and defect rectification on commercial and private aircraft
- Review and manage maintenance job packages and documentation
- Coordinate daily maintenance operations within the hangar
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company standards
- Communicate directly with customers regarding maintenance activities and aircraft status
- Support major maintenance projects and aircraft rebuild programs
Qualifications
- Valid Transport Canada AME license (M1/M2 preferred)
- Strong leadership and team mentorship abilities
- Experience working on piston and turbine aircraft
- Experience with both pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
- Flexible scheduling based on operational requirements
- Rotational positions available in Fort St. John, BC
- Housing and flights for rotational staff may be negotiated
