THE ROLE

STRIVE is currently hiring for a MIG Welder for a well-established manufacturing company in Hamilton, ON. Assist in welding shafts and fabricating other products by following work orders. This role does not require a welding ticket, though welding experience is a strong asset. Training will be provided by a senior fabricator for the right candidate. The ideal candidate is skilled in MIG welding, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial environment while producing high-quality work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform MIG welding on shafts and fabricated products
• Follow work orders, ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and accuracy
• Operate welding equipment and basic shop tools safely
• Assist in the welding department as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support team production and troubleshoot minor issues

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience
• Welding experience required (no ticket needed)
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Problem-solving mindset with good initiative
• Forklift certification (asset)
• Must provide own CSA-approved metatarsal safety boots
• Communicate effectively with internal departments
