This is a full-time, year-round opportunity beginning June 2026. Starting wage for this role is $24.00/hour. Staff accommodation available at a rate of no more than $10/day.
You'll be at the heart of creating memorable mountain escapes by keeping Miette Mountain Cabins running smoothly and beautifully. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Jasper National Park, you'll ensure our cabins, amenities, and grounds are always safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for every guest.
What will you do in this job?
Complete general repairs and maintenance tasks in cabins and shared spaces, and assist the Maintenance Manager with larger projects
Help maintain the overall condition and appearance of Miette Mountain Cabins, ensuring a high standard of quality across the property
Perform daily upkeep of all facilities, including guest cabins, pools, common areas, and outdoor spaces
Interact regularly with team members, leadership, and guests, delivering friendly, helpful support when needed
Take care of the grounds year-round, including snow removal, landscaping, gardening, and lawn care
Champion a safety-first culture by following and promoting safe work practices in everything you do
Pitch in across departments as needed, supporting teams such as Guest Services and Security to create a seamless guest experience
Report to the Maintenance Manager and complete assigned tasks and projects efficiently and reliably
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- Experience or knowledge in maintenance areas such as basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and pool care is an asset
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative, solutions-focused mindset
- A motivated self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- A genuine eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute within a dynamic team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues
- Comfortable using basic tools and equipment
- Ability to manage a fast-paced workload, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and evenings (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- An Alberta Class 4 driver's license is considered an asset
