Position Summary:
The Press Brake Operator/Programmer will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating All Steel and Trumpf brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines; Hydraulic AllSteel and Trumpf Electric 7036
- Program press brake machines using CNC controls.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Select proper tooling and dies for each job based on material type and thickness.
- Inspect parts to ensure quality and accuracy using calipers, angles and other measuring tools.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating and programming CNC press brakes.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
- Experience with various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Experience with lean manufacturing practices.
