Salary: $26/hr and $28/hr after six months

This is a hybrid warehouse / driving position

HSR Provides industry and job specific training to enhance our exisiting experience.

Wage: $26 per hour to start

$28 per hour after 6 months

Job Type: Full-Time

Total work hours: 6-8hrs/day, 32 hrs per week

HSR is seeking a motivated team lead to independently coordinate our warehouse operations in the absence of our Operations Coordinator.

The working conditions include indoor/outdoor manual labour tasks as well as driving a 20 foot cube truck within Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. The work hours arefrom 11:00am to 7:30pm, 4 days a week including some weekends. Flexibility to work around morning shift as required is an asset.

The Leads primary role is to efficiently receive, coordinate and process all the different types of material that we recover at our facility. The role requires doing pick-ups with an 20' cube truck and assisting drivers on jobs at customer locations. Responsibility includes but is not limited to Health & Safety compliance, maintaining the equipment, job allocation, support with training new associates, and yard and facility organization.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Unloading/Loading materials from truck with the use of forklift, pallet jack or by hand
  • Perform pick-up with a 20' cube truck within Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley
  • Coordinating the daily operations at warehouse including but not limited to shipping and receiving as well as material processing, and supervision other crew in absence of operations coordinator
  • Operating machine equipment bailer, paper shredder, hanger shredder, wire stripper, conveyor belt.
  • Sorting, dismantling and processing materials for its highest and best use
  • Assisting Customer Service Associates with pick-up of material at customer location
  • Opening and Closing of Recovery Center
  • Training and supporting other associates on related procedures, equipment and health and safety requirements and other duties.
  • Assisting the operations coordinator by ensuring all Health & Safety regulations and procedures are being followed and reporting any issues regarding H&S
  • Assist the Operations Coordinator with general maintenance of equipment
  • Perform First Aid as needed
  • Other related duties

Requirements:

  • Forklift experience min. 2 years
  • Class 5 Driving License min. 3 years of driving experience
  • Level 1 Industrial First Aid Certificate - Completion prior to end of probation
  • TDG Certificate - Completion (prior to end of probation)
  • WHIMIS - Completion prior to end of probation
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience supporting others and providing guidance and instruction
  • Work independently with minimum supervision
  • Take directions well with positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs andstand for long period of time
  • Results oriented
  • Zero Waste Fundamentals Course Completion (prior to end of probation)
