The Fleet Associate helps manage day-to-day vehicle logistics, warehouse inventory coordination, and basic facility upkeep. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of indoor and outdoor tasks, problem solving, and maintaining high standards of workplace organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle and Equipment Coordination:
- Schedule and track regular service for company vehicles (ex. oil changes, brake checks).
- Assist with completing routine service for company vehicles (inspections, inventory replenishment).
- Support coordination with service vendors and other departments to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records using internal software.
Inventory and Material Handling:
- Prepare and distribute inventory for field staff to ensure timely replenishment.
- Assist with product staging, restocking vehicles, and organizing materials.
- Track inventory levels, report discrepancies, and support replenishment needs.
Facility Support and General Maintenance:
- Ensure the workspace is safe and operational (e.g., locks, alarm systems, hazard checks).
- Perform light repairs and general upkeep of the building and property.
- Assist in managing waste disposal, recycling, and snow/lawn maintenance.
- Ensure workspace is clean, safe, and operational at all times.
Operational Assistance:
- Support compliance checks for field vehicle inspections.
- Assist with warehouse duties when primary responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Provide support to other departments as required and travel to local sites occasionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license, held for a minimum of 3 years.
- Microsoft Suite experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience with small engine repairs or air compressors (an asset).
- 1-3 years of experience in vehicle servicing (oil changes, tire rotations, inspections) or warehouse operations (an asset).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings.
