• To officiate the Intramurals Leagues in a safe, controlled and professional manner

Nature and Scope

Reporting to the Recreation Manager & Recreation Coordinator, this position is responsible for officiating and scorekeeping various sports within our Intramurals Leagues.

Job Duties

• Game Sheet Official - Accurately complete game sheets, ensuring all player stats are recorded correctly and legibly.
• Score Clock Official - Maintain the time and update scores consistently throughout games.
• Floor Official - Officiate games by enforcing rules, assessing penalties, and maintaining a fair, controlled, and safe environment.
• Ensure games start and finish according to schedule by managing league timelines effectively.
• Organize, set up, and take down sports equipment efficiently before and after every shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized gymnasium, including sweeping and preparing facilities for use.
• Monitor equipment condition, report any issues.
• Support recreation staff by carrying out additional duties as assigned.
• Adhere to the Part-Time Staff code of conduct.

• Maintain strong attention to detail when tracking scores, time, and game sheets.
• Officiating experience or strong knowledge is an asset in the following sports:

Compensation:

• $17.60/hour
