Staffinity is recruiting for a Janitorial Manager for our client in Sudbury. This is a permanent position with salary, benefits, and vacation. The base pay range is $60,000–$75,000 per year. The position will work full-time out of the Sudbury office with very occasional travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of janitorial staff across multiple client sites (industrial, commercial, and office spaces).
- Supervise, schedule, and train cleaning teams to ensure consistent service quality.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with client standards and company policies.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning products, supplies, and equipment; coordinate ordering and distribution.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and task checklists for efficiency and accountability.
- Support health and safety compliance, ensuring all staff follow WHMIS and workplace safety procedures.
- Act as primary point of contact for clients, responding promptly to service issues or special requests.
- Prepare reports on staffing, supply usage, and site performance for management review.
- Mentor and support staff to improve retention, performance, and team culture.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in janitorial services, facilities management, or related client facing environments.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role (multi-site experience an asset).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, industrial/commercial equipment, and safety standards.
- Experience managing budgets and tracking inventory.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with a customer-service mindset.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally when required.
