About the Role
Were looking for a proactive, observant, and personable Facilities & Security Attendant to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming space for our staff and visitors.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing facility access, upholding our security protocols, and responding to any on-site concerns or incidents.
What Youll Do
Control access to the facility, primarily via the front entrance, and ensure other entrances are secure
Patrol and monitor interior and exterior of the facility
Address unauthorized access, facility protocols/mandates, and refer to appropriate staff person
Enforce and uphold security measures to protect property and people from theft, vandalism, fire
Respond to inquiries and address staff and visitor concerns within the facility for/with clients
Inspecting the security systems in place and reporting any anomalies to the General Manager
Maintains proper documentation, completing required incident reporting
Issue passes to visitors and contractors, in order to be identified when inside the facility
Assesses existing and new systems, programs and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
Alert authorities, as needed, to respond to emergencies or to address a breach of security
What Were Looking For
High school diploma (required); post-secondary education in Law & Security or related field is a strong asset
Valid Ontario Security Guard License (preferred)
3+ years of experience in security, facility access control, or loss prevention
CPR & First Aid certification is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and highly observant
A collaborative team player who takes pride in creating a safe environment
A strong sense of discretion, responsibility, and professionalism
