AGS is looking for an MRO Coordinator/Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic organization - WINDSOR ONTARIO Plant

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safety and well-being of all maintenance personnel, the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment records and buildings on a plant-wide basis.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effective, clear communication and sound knowledge of maintenance and workflow processes
  • Create, maintain, and organize Preventative Maintenance work orders through Megamation System software
  • Be familiar with computer related programs such as MRO for ordering and replacing inventory
  • Solicit quotes from suppliers for items as required
  • Communicate effectively with all departments
  • Assist in scheduling manpower for Planned, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
  • Motivate and raise the level of the maintenance team's competency skills through training for using PC related Megamation work order process
  • Be familiar of ISO/TS16949 requirements
  • Inventory logging /organizing - Oversee and manage the tool crib and parts on hand
  • Downtime tracking / improvements – maintain and update historical data from orange tag system to apply towards improving PM`s
  • Maintain / upkeep tool crib with proper placement of inventory for easy tracing
  • Daily check and inventorying of shipping receiving drop box
  • Use safety processes in all work and according to AGS Health & Safety, Environmental and Housekeeping Policies.
  • Take responsibility as a competent person under Section 27 of the OSHA for the safety and well-being of employees on shift.
  • Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of a worker. Ensure that employees receive appropriate training, and they wear appropriate PPE using additional safety equipment when required and follow safe work procedure and practices. Carry out workplace inspections such as layered audits, JHSC safety inspections, etc. Report unsafe conditions or equipment, correcting substandard acts or conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, arrange for first aid and take precautions to avoid further injury or impact. Follow procedures for accident investigation and reporting. Cooperate with internal and external contacts.
  • Participate in information sessions such as safety talks and other forms of staff meetings.
  • Oversee the general safety of the people and plant. Observe and monitor employee safety and provide H&S feedback.
  • Any employee observed not following safety rules will be disciplined up to and including discharge.
  • Perform any other duties that may be specifically or generally assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: College Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a procurement department or similar role, with a solid understanding of procurement processes.
  • Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess situations and provide solutions effectively.
  • Proficiency in Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional Verbal Communication: Strong command of English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Organizational & Time Management Skills: Exceptional ability to prioritizing tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Required to adhere to and comply with environmental, health and safety rules/policies related to the job function and business conduct guidelines.
  • Most work is carried out in a typical business office, with visits to the shop floor that require wearing personal protective equipment (safety footwear, hearing protection, safety glasses) in appropriate areas.
